My Experience in Greece
Greece is one of those countries that surprised me in the best way. Before my first visit, I expected beautiful islands and ancient ruins. What I did not expect was how much I would enjoy the relaxed pace, welcoming atmosphere, and variety from one destination to the next.
Some of my favorite memories include watching the sunset in Santorini, exploring the Acropolis in Athens, and wandering among the monasteries of Meteora. Each place offered a completely different experience. From ancient history and island hopping to dramatic landscapes and slower days by the sea, Greece truly offers a little bit of everything.

Know Before You Go
Ferry schedules can change. Wind, rough seas, and seasonal schedules may affect departures, so avoid planning tight connections.
Book the Acropolis in advance. Timed-entry tickets can sell out during peak season, especially in summer.
Ask before drinking tap water. Tap water is safe in Athens and many mainland destinations, but bottled water may be recommended on some islands.
Follow local bathroom etiquette. Some plumbing systems cannot handle toilet paper. When you see a sign or waste bin beside the toilet, use the trash bin instead.
Wear sturdy shoes at ancient sites. Ancient sites often have uneven stone, steep steps, and slippery marble, so comfortable shoes with good traction are a must.
